Won first place for video in the NUMU Los Gatos ArtNow 2021 contest under the theme "Good Trouble."
In reference to the 1969 Stonewall Riots for LGBTQ+ rights, it demonstrates the importance of breaking barriers meant to silence us. As MLK once said, “A riot is the language of the unheard.” Like the constant struggle for equity, walls are broken with a crash, not a sigh.
I created this piece by animating it on Photoshop at sixty frames per second to show how active progress is.
